Welcome to Cruise North Expeditions’ 2012 Arctic season. This is your chance to travel north in comfort and safety, while truly experiencing the amazing scenery, animal life and culture of one of the wildest places on earth – the far North.

We are a sister company of Adventure Canada since 2010. We are a family-owned and operated business in partnership with the Inuit-owned Makivik Corporation. Therefore environmental and economic well-being, honest and accurate representation of the Arctic, and local guiding are fundamental to our expeditions. For these commitments we have been placed among the Best Travel Companies on Earth by National Geographic. As well, we are a TICO registered company, which means your travel reservations are secure and protected.

Inuit are among the most resilient cultures in the world, and have been passed down centuries of traditions, skills and knowledge. Aboard Cruise North, our Inuit guides share this invaluable knowledge with you, our guests.

Our role is to protect the past, while preparing for the future. One way we do this is through our on-board training program, where Inuit youth are taught a wide variety of skills, like guiding, cultural interpretation, zodiac driving and ship navigation.

We travel to islands where enormous polar bears sit among ice floes with thick-billed murres in the thousands flying overhead. We take you to ancient hunting grounds and spiritual sites literally untouched for thousands of years. Inuit hosts treat us to cultural performances in small coastal villages. While relaxing on deck, we glide alongside immense icebergs, view quaint villages and towering fiords that go on for miles.
